Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever
The cribs return to the fray with their third longplayer, 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever'. The album heralds a new chapter in the life of the band which has witnessed the brothers Jarman emerge from the success of their previous album 'The New Fellas' and the subsequent chart action that ensued with the singles that accompanied it, particularly the pop nous of 'Hey Scenesters', 'Mirror Kissers' et al which propelled the band into previously uncharted territories.
2006 saw the band back-peddle into the background concentrating on writing new material and cherry picking who they wanted to work with and to that end they entered a studio in Vancouver late last year with Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) who as well as being on the "same wavelength" also loved the new songs, the resultant recordings have those in the know slobbering in anticipation and will undoubtedly see The Cribs raise their benchmark yet again
