DIMENSION A6 (105mm x 148mm)

Taking place across the weekend of the 6th to 8th 1966, the infamous 'Mod Riots' were sparked by the announcement that future of the Cue Club could be in jepoardy as it was unlikely that Gothenburg City Council would renew it's entertainment licence. Gothenburg's Youth weren't taking this lying down. Two nights of antagonism ensued between the Youth and the Police, resulting in minor damage and a big dose of respectable 'outrage.'

It could be argued that this was the nascence of Youth's Direct action against authority. A confrontation which would become turbo charged through the protests of the late 60's and a counterculture which would grow into an organised and sustaniable movment.
