An obscure little set from the tiny Nashville label Ken Tone – and the only full-length set we've seen from Rayfield Reid & The Magnificents! Rayfield Reid sings both ballads and funky tunes – and the album's a great little bit of indie soul, with more than enough tracks to please fans of any sort of soul genre! The set's got a great 2 part funky cut called "Stick Shift" – which has a nice clavinet solo near the end – and it's also got some great ballads and mellow cuts, like the sweet soul numbers "Our Alibi" and "I Ain't Gonna Quit". Also includes the nice funk cut "Ride My Red Wagon", which has a jaunty rough ride – just like you're rolling down a hill in a tiny red wagon! Other tracks include "Dynamite Party", "I've Got Everything", and "Treat You Right"
