Erroll Garner Trio Vol.1
The first of two volumes called Paris Impressions found Erroll Garner in a joyous, creative mood. Accompanied by bassist Eddie Calhoun and drummer Kelly Martin, it begins with a lively playful take of "The Song From Moulin Rouge," followed by an inspired swinging version of Cole Porter's "I Love Paris." While none of Garner's originals on this album came close to becoming regular parts of his repertoire, they are very much in the spirit of his upbeat personality. Sublime music from a Jazz pioneer.
- Scatter Brain
- Though A Long And Sleepless Night
- I Let A Song Go To My Heart
- Jitterbug Waltz
- Deep Purple
- What Is This Thing Called Love?
- Again
- Goodbye
