II (Glass Coffin Vinyl)
Indie Exclusive Glass Coffin clear vinyl in textured jacket.
Dead Cross, the four-headed hydra featuring Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk), Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Testament), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox) and Michael Crain (Retox), return with the abrasive nine-song album, 'II', on Ipecac Recordings.
Musically, 'II' finds the band in top form. Whether it's the speed metal sound of the first single 'Reign Of Error', the wailing guitars on 'Impostor Syndrome', or the haunting chants of 'Love Without Love', the sound of destruction marches firmly onwards over the nine tracks.
The message is still in the music, with Pearson pointing to 'Christian Missile Crisis', a song the bassist says, "takes an obvious jab at organized religion and gun owners."
Dead Cross released their self-titled debut album in 2017. Alternative Press deemed the 10-song collection "viciously contagious," MetalSucks said the record is "a bracing, chaotic storm of noise punk," The Needledrop deemed it "one of a kind" and Rolling Stone said 'Dead Cross' was chock full of "charging, head-spinning ragers." A surprise, also self-titled, EP followed in 2018, with a standalone single, a cover of Black Flag's 'Rise Above', released during the Summer of 2020.
Coming off the heels of big releases from Mr. Bungle and Tomahawk, which sold tens of thousands worldwide.
Past touring highlights include worldwide headlining, as well as festivals such as Riot Fest, Download, Primavera, Roskilde, Hellfest, Graspop and Nova Rock.
