Lars Gullin was undoubtedly one of Europe's foremost jazz musicians and he has few followers. He was a brilliant instrumentalist and an original composer with solid craftsmanship. He combined stylistic elements from the national romantic music with folk music and jazz into a music all his own that still impresses and captures new listeners. Jazz Amour Affair was ordered by the Foundation for Nationwide Concerts if Sweden and recorded live in Norrköping in December 1970. The album cover art was created by his daughter Poulina.
