1975 US pressing in beautiful condition.

The one and only Barbara Livsey album, Barbara Blake & The Uniques, released on the 20th Century Records label in February 1975. James R. "Jimmy" Vanleer brought former combination Barbara & The Uniques to the fairly substantial 20th Century Records label, which released a proper album and a good number of singles from it. This is the most professional production of The Uniques, even though the group at that time consisted only of Barbara Livsey and several male studio musicians. Barbara Livsey's confident vocals blend with the group's confident backing vocals on a cohesive range of elegant tracks. “Let Me Down Easy” and “Everstanding Thrill” are lively, dance-floor-filling smashes. The soulful ballads “Teach Me” and “Superman” match or surpass the best of Gladys Knight & The Pips or the Three Degrees. Barbara Livsey’s music and her courageous, passionate voice live on for all who take the time to listen.
