A Couple Of Times
Twogether were a keyboard and drums duo from Dusseldorf, formed in 1973 out of the ashes of the groups Blue Squad and The Crew. Featuring organ, Fender Rhodes, acoustic piano, synths, and a ripping, jazzy drummer, the duo of Klaus Bangert and Reinhard Fischer stylistically range from krautrock to fusion, blues-rock to funky psychedelic jams.
Primarily instrumental, the duo shows their virtuosity on album standouts On The Move and Fusion. With a vibe at times more similar to Lee Michaels classic late-'60s LPs than their German contemporaries, and with nods to Keith Emerson's work with The Nice, this is a welcome reissue of an impossibly rare early '70s prog-psych cult classic.
