Lo Moon
With an expansive and climactic soundscape dripping in nostalgia, LA based trio Lo Moon release a debut album that justifies the hype surrounding their first single 'Loveless'. Despite a spattering of melancholic synths and piano, this LP is a decidedly hopeful ode to electro-pop. The title track 'Real Love' sounds like the lovechild of The War on Drugs and a catchy (yet heartbreaking at times) 1980's pop ballad. Produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie and Francois Tetaz of Gotye, the double LP is released on Columbia Records.
